Originating with the ancient technique of hair braiding amongst Indian women, braided jute is an organic, biodegradable fibre interwoven with recycled chindi cotton in this eco-friendly rug.
In Hindi, the term ‘Chindi’ refers to a traditional weaving method using leftover cotton pieces that are cut down to strips and braided together. This handloomed process produces a vibrant, versatile tapestry ideal for decorating your floor or wall.
